Up Where We Belong (Guitar Instrumental Version)

Here is my instrumental cover of the song "Up Where We Belong" which featured in the 1982 film "An Officer & A Gentleman". It was written by Jack Nitzsche and Buffy Sainte-Marie, with lyrics by Will Jennings. It was performed as a duet by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes and was a hit single which reached #1 on the Billboard 100 chart and #7 in the UK. It was nearly cut from the film as producer Don Simpson thought it was not a good song and would not be a hit

On this one, I played my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) and a Zoom G2.1Nu unit programmed with Charlie Hall's EFTP (Echoes From The Past [Patch B6]. I recorded via USB to my laptop and used Cubase for recording/mixing. The backing track was from http://www.karaoke-version.co.uk
