I, for one, am glad these people exist. They just might the only ones to survive a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.

No but seriously, there are reasons for this behavior. Lloyd, for instance, began this behavior after losing his job. He has good reason to not trust the world anymore. Maybe it is those of us who trust that we can afford to throw away our bicycles who will not be the ones to SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!!

No but would you rather have 0 or 5,000 bicycle parts with which to FIGHT THE ZOMBIES?

I visit third world countries and they do have these mental problems. I agree, they do not get treatment. This problem becomes worse with age and in third world countries they don't live as long.

I know someone (mid 60s) with these hoarding traits and encourage him to donate, share and sell. Sometimes he will let me do that for him. He is brilliant but there seems to be something (mentally) missing to enable him to sort and organize. It's so sad. He is a bachelor. No one can live with him.

I find this people sad & selfish in a way. They're putting not only themselves but OTHER PEOPLE in danger w/ their collecting. A lot of they're homes are filled w/ black mold, dust, bacteria, smells of urine & fecal matter everywhere, exposing the FEW PEOPLE who come into their lives to a myriad of illness. & Deep down they just don't care. It's not a matter of being "neat freaks" as "Therzroomattheback" ignorantly says. It's about living SANITARY & clutter-free & dealing w/ a mental illness.

@Therzroomattheback No i dont live alone, i do live with some one ( not my mother and certainly not in a basement ) How the hell can you call me a Moron? when all my comment stated was that he needs to pack it away. Thats fine if some one wishes to live that way but when living in a shared space, the other person also needs to be considered. I mean some of the shit that he has in that house does not even make sense why he would hold on to it. Thats MORONIC.
