Izit the powder special only for dog using? Can i use baby powder ?

My Golden has hair in her ears, but I never knew that you're supposed to pull it out. I take her to the groomer and they clean her ears every time, and sometimes trim the longer hairs in there, but should I request that they pull them out? She did have an ear infection awhile ago, but after ritualous cleaning it resolved.
Also, where can I get some of that powder from?
(time to go and pick my dog up from the groomers now!)
Thanks!!!

@brizeydacastillo it's benefits outweigh the risk, it's a good thing to do

If you can not find grooming aids in your local retail stores, the online pet med and
online pet grooming sites are always good to shop at. they generally have professional grade groomer tools and groomer aids. happy grooming!
Do I really need the powder?
And I love all your videos and love your attitude!!(:

@95crackers Yes you do need the powder. It not only makes it easier to get ahold of the hair but it comes out quicker and easier and is less uncomfortable for the dog. It can also help with the smell in your dogs ears... though ear cleaner is best for that. ;)

My Shih Tzu won't let me near her ears. She nearly has a panic attack. Is there a way to keep her calm while plucking and does that powder make the plucking easier?

@mimsy22 Well as far as keeping her calm goes, it just takes time. Try rubbing your fingers in her ears other times like when your snuggling on the couch for example. Yes, the ear powder helps alot! It allows you to get a good grip on what is usually slippery hair. ;) Good luck!
