there are products available - not additive but clamp-on type - which assist in improving efficiency of an eqipment like boiler, furnace ...... In case of Gas turbine also it would offer results.However, some say such devices may "affect" turbine parts? when asked how??? - no reply. can any one throw more light on this?

The chimney should be as thin or thinner than the turbine exit. So the gas cant expand and loose its heat to motion of the gas.
