Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Semi-final #1 Preview

The preview of the first semi-final event of the World's biggest music competition, the Eurovision Song Contest. The first semi-final will take place on 12 May, 2009 in Moscow, Russia. 10 countries qualified to join the already qualified 5 countries in the final on 16 May, 2009. 9 countries qualified based on the televoting results of the European nations while the tenth finalist was selected by each nations jury. Only countries participating in this semi-final were allowed to vote, while another draw decided that Germany, United Kingdom, and Spain would also vote in this semi-final. Spain originally was to vote in this semi-final but after a request to the EBU on the part of Spanish broadcaster RTVE, they voted in the second semi-final instead.
