Maybe you can shed some light on this issue for me.

I seem to have a problem drinking beer while eating. Today I opened a Boston Lager and began eating a pizza. I found that somehow by eating, it REALLY brought out the bitterness in the beer making it taste sickening. What going on here with me man? What am I doing wrong? I can drink it just fine when I'm not eating (though I find BL to be just at my line of tolerance in terms of bitterness to begin with anyways).

It really depends on the food. I don't make a habit of drinking beer while eating as I find that most of the restaurants that serve beer in my area don't have a clue on how to match their beer list with their menu. In most cases I reserve beer drinking for before or after my meal.

It's really up to your tastes on what beer you prefer with what meal. That could be your adventure in to the world of unique beer: food and beer pairing. Worth a shot, right?

I pronounce it Crotch. Mainly because Jim Krotch sold out. This beer isn't even close to what it used to be. Half of it isn't even brewed in Boston. Oh well. I'm gonna drink my Oktorberfest from last year. Cheers.
