The Giants are the only NFL franchise to have never had cheerleaders at all. Wellington Mara wanted the focus to be on his team and not a bunch of pretty faces.
Unlike Detroit and most other parts of the U.S., the NYC area's high schools played football on Saturday afternoons because most of their fields didn't have lights.

Mr. Ford thinks cheerleaders sexualize the game and detract from the family atmosphere he wants to present.
For the record, I think he's utterly insane and adding cheerleaders would at least be a small attempt to relieve our suffering, but that's his rationale anyway.

Crawford371, thanks for that info..however regardless of which schools cheerleaders were being used, this still is one end of the spectrum, while the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders at the very same time were wearing, well, not much. Its just interesting to see the different ends of cheerleading back then.
