  • All 4? There were 2 prototypes and 4 pre-production.

    You do the numbers.

  • There were 2 prototypes - 001 (F-WTSS), 002 (G-BSST), 2 pre-production aicrafts 01 resp. 101 (G-AXDN) and 02 resp. 102 (F-WTSA). The other two you mean were production aircrafts 201 (F-WTSB) and 202 (G-BBDG). They were used only for testing and thanks to them Concorde gained the Certificate of Airworthiness. F-WTSB and G-BBDG were never used for regular commercial flights.

    I thnk they were 2 protoypes and 2 preproduction aricrafts because in the beginning theye were 16 aircrafts in service by 1980. So since the total aircrafts built were 20 there are 4 left.

  • they were the future... what the hell happened???

  • But they are considered pre-production versions also, due to their differences to the production models.
