My Top 50 Genesis Songs

This is my personal list of top 50 Genesis songs (yes, 50 was about all I could narrow it down to, but there are still other great songs besides these), with each 10 seconds of the song being my favorite part (or my favorite part that can fit into 10 seconds).

Don't comment on this, criticizing what I've put, this is not an official list or anything, it is MY PERSONAL OPINION, so there's no need to get all defensive of songs, this is what I personally listen to and appreciate from the band (although I'd gladly suggest people listen to any one songs from Genesis, they're all great).

Honorable mentions that deserve a spot but did not get one:
Cul-de-Sac, Duchess, Duke's Travels, Second Home By the Sea, It's Gonna Get Better, Land of Confusion, Do the Neurotic, Stagnation, The Silent Sun, No Son of Mine, I Can't Dance, The Lady Lies, Man On the Corner, Please Don't Ask, Eleventh Earl of Mar, The Supernatural Anaesthetist, and many others that are probably slipping my mind.

I might not agree with every pick (Dodo/Lurker that high? To each their own!), but you have a very comprehensive, thoughtful list here!

@ericedholm I understand why you'd say that, considering Dodo really wasn't acknowledged much at all, but I had seen tribute bands perform it, and I thought it was a Gabriel era song at first, because it was so progressive, and it just amazed me that they actually did that song on Abacab, no less. Plus, mostly all of their progressive songs deserve to be in the top ten - they're masters at it! Thanks for the comment! :)

In all seriousness, though, I haven't listened to Genesis as a serious fan in a long, long time (well, by teenage standards), and this video convinced me to do so. So, uh...thanks!

great list! to me the musical box would be number one and dodo and robbery assault and battery would not even make the list. But it is clear that 50 choices are not the exact same. therefore,really a great list
