A Norfolk Southern EMD SD70M-2 and two Norfolk Southern GE C40-9W (D9-40CW) lead an intermodal train east through Osborne, PA.
Just moments before this train, a man and his toddler son arrived. They had raced the train from Sewickley, PA (about 5 miles up the line). I struck up a conversation shortly after this train and learned that they had spent the last hour across the Ohio River at the CSX line with little luck. The man decided to take his chance with Norfolk Southern and he was rewarded quite nicely (train after train after train). His son is a railfan in the making and this was his first day seeing a full-size train up close.
