Canyon Creek Arizona - Desert Oasis

My son and I went camping in a remote wilderness area in Arizona. Canyon Creek is part of the Salt River drainage and it flows year round. Our campsite was 17 miles off the nearest paved road and in several areas the road is very rough making a high-clearance vehicle necessary. At one point I got the FJ cruiser stuck in some soft sand at the bottom of a wash and had to dig it out. We spent almost four days at this camp site hanging out with the dogs, reading and playing in the river.

@41rudy Hey, Thanks for watching. The creek is accessed from the dirt road the follows the river where the river crosses US 60 under the bridge. This is where all the rafters put in. Access requires a permit which can be bought from the small store up the road.
