When Red Skelton was a boy the words "under God" were not part of the pledge. Listen CLOSELY to the last few sentences. These words were added officially on June 14, 1954 (Flag Day). I remember learning the change when I was in grade school.
It is a darn shame that "under God" is left out. Cause America is the best country by God's grace. "One nation, UNDER GOD, with liberty and justice for all."
