This game has the exact same problem of the Dreamcast (The greates game console ever launched), it's TOO AHEAD OF IT'S TIME, and people can't seem to adapt to so much... What a shame. Plus you have to have in mind that big companies like Sony did everything they could to stop Dreamcast's hype so their PS2 sold well... R.I.P. Dreamcast, just like many famous people, you were killed for being too good and ahead of your time.

@Commentator9000 Shenmue made me feel like I was the main character in a deep way, unlike any other game to date. It just offers an imersion into it's world, following a greatly scripted story that delivers emotion like very few, but at the same time a sense of liberty.

Imo more games should be like this...an escape to another reality, not just all the senseless shooting in modern FPS...

I'm sorry you don't feel the same way...I guess this game is art...not everyone can apreciate it. :P

I searched for a long time to see what this game was like, and this is the first video I've found that actually explains it more than "this game is soooo amazing!" thank you for that.

Yeah, I'm not even intend to play games that rely more on online gaming. Piss of craps like CoD..

As far as games with Solid storyline... I play Metal Gear Solid. 4th wall breaking, Understanding the story and learning life through a game(That's how Hideo Kojima want the players to be)..

@kushandcocaine Do you have a problem with me of not heard of N64? In fact I have, I have COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN of N64.

I wasn't a heavy gamer as a child so I'm glad I didn't even own a N64 when another family member did.

I only owned a playsytation at that time.

Lived under a rock as a child? How old is that kind of line. I lived under a house where I grew up as a none-heavy gamer. A better life style than you. :)

@SPGenerationUK i didnt say it was better because it had more games. im saying it is better because it had BETTER games overall... i had both consoles, and i played playstation way more because of all the great games it had. i only played dreamcast for shenmue, soul caliber, marvel vs capcom 2, and jet grind radio.... i would love a shenmue 3. and as i said before N64 pwns both systems :P

@TheSuperVillainDoom Do not care if play station had more games. In fact saying a playstation console is better than Dreamcast even now makes the playstation OVERRATED.

Seriously, Dreamcast deserve more look at and Shenmue franchise deserve more fan base. The game is like a Metal Gear Solid quality without weapons.

People are asking for Shenmue 3 and Yu Suzuki this year, say that SAGA will let him make Shenmue 3!.
