It does make sense, though, that the Bible only has one meaning to every verse. If we don't stand on tradition, then it means the Bible is subject to change with our traditions. And Hebrews says God doesn't change.

@PRAYERWARRIORKING thanks for the edifying dialogue. God bless.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

@PRAYERWARRIORKING God not only draws us by love, he saves us, makes us alive, gives us eyes to see, makes the lame to walk, you name it; it all happens by his love. ask Lazarus made him alive again. he will tell you it was Jesus' love for him that brought him out of that tomb. God's love is not just some puppy dog kind of love. it is Almighty. it is All wise. it is perfect in truth and righteousness. it is perfect in holiness. and it is as the Hebrews use to say: it endures forever.

@HermitintheRain The robots i was referring to is God making a robot purposely for hell and a robot purposely for heaven...... Once you give yourself over to Christ now your driven by "Holy Spirit-will" point blank
-
@PRAYERWARRIORKING my will, along with everything else about me is denied and crucified, that everything about Christ might live in me. if i find anything that is me that is not denied or crucified, that quality that would be Christ can not be present in me. if my will is still alive and kicking in me, there cannot be Christ's will living in me. there is only room for one will in me-be it mine or Christs. by the grace of God Christ's will must increase in me, and my will must decrease.

that one who is maintaining their autonomy has not lost themselves to the object of their love-the oneness that is found in true love. in a loving relationship, one's will is the least important issue. in a true loving relationship it is the will of the other that matters above all other considerations. it isn't about whether my will is being freely expressed in the relationship, but whether the will of my Lord is being accomplished. what his will is, is the only will that matters.
-
@PRAYERWARRIORKING ironically, in what you say concerning those who speak of it being made into robots; what i am finding is that it is those who are fighting for their 'free will' in the relationship that are having something even worse than being made robots. it is that kind of love where someone in that relationship, in trying to keep their own autonomy, goes through all the motions that depict love, but there is no real union, because that autonomous one has not become one with the other.

Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Hey Lane, sensible video and comments, but are sure that you don't have any idols in your heart? What about your fervent support of calvinism? How do you know that you are not reading the bible through the lens of your own man-made theological tradition? Perhaps you are carrying an error that had been handed down from generation to generation...

Because, as the videos show, Calvinism can be substantiated from Scripture. I'd like to ask you, though:
Hey, sidefall, are you sure that you don't have any idols in your heart? What about your fervent support of non-calvinism? How do you know that you are not reading the bible through the lens of your own man-made theological tradition? Perhaps you are carrying an error that had been handed down from generation to generation...
Guess it can be asked of both sides, huh?

Lane - as always good stuff.
I commented the following on DrO's Dave Hunt vid too -- you might want to take a look at this guy and post some of your vids as responses there.
Against Calvinism pt 1: The Gospel Tract from Hell

yikes. (shaking head) Oy where do you begin with someone like this... I only watched part 1 but looks to be about 15 parts.

Hey, terrier. I've tried to post vids there, but he's deleted them after they've been posted. I didn't watch the entire 15 episodes, but the parts I did see were a poor representation of what Calvinists believe. I guess I shouldn't expect much when Dave Hunt is used as source material, though.
