  • This snake has an immunity to the toxins toads secrete. This immunity comes from their having excessively enlarged adrenal glands which secrete large amounts of hormones to counteract the toads' powerful skin poisons.

  • the frog looks like he enjoying it

  • @m0sesm01 I know this is really late, but someone might want to know. They don't, they swallow it alive.

  • @Uzerx1 I disagree. I feed my adult female cornsnake in her terrarium all the time. I have had her for six years, and she has never even bitten me once. She is the most tame and docile snake I have ever had.

  • Hey man my hognose does the exact same thing i love my eastern hognosed snakes it's like the same as yours you can see him in my videos please comment I like getting feedback to know what I'm doing good and bad or right or wrong or what I should do.

    Thanks for the bid!

  • @Uzerx1 I totally disagree with you, consuming some substrate isn't a problem at all - think about when they feed in the wild..... they are more than capable of processing some dirt. As for feeding in your cage, it is what I do - my snakes hate being handled after feeding and they don't associate being taken out of their cage as 'feeding time'.... like they would with your method, I use actual snake tongs to present the pinky so my hand doesn't even come into it.

  • Toad hit the road and he ain't comin' back no more ;o)

  • ok 3 2 1 fight!!.....toad: ....owww okok u owned me leave me alone

  • hognoses dont constrict?

how do they kill the prey then?

  • Finally! I video that shows a snake actually finishing eating it's prey! Thanks for sharing and, great video.
