Pope: Laity must share responsibility in the Church

The Church is not only a spiritual reality, but she also lives within human history. Benedict XVI highlighted this during the opening speech of the Diocesan Ecclesial Conference on May 26th in the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome. The theme of the conference is Ecclesial Membership and Pastoral Responsibility.
