  • @consanna People who compete in these shows admire & respect the REAL Tennessee Walking Horse. The horses are gaiting not through force but by nature. The use of build-ups results in a complete bastardization of their natural gait. Take the build-ups off and what kind of gait would "Big Lick" horses have? It's likely they wouldn't be able to compete with the horses in this video! Like my friend said when she saw BIg Lick horses for the first time, "They look like weird giant insects!"

  • I am so glad to see the natural walking horses showing now. I just couldn't watch the "big lick" type at all. These horses look happy, enjoying their job.

  • @consanna This organization and its shows were put in place for those who want to show the NATURAL ability of the Tennessee Walker. No contraptions, no big lick, no unnatural movement. I have been to many of NWHA shows and have seen great ability and competition from these horses. So please before you label something as stupid or useless, do your research.

  • consanna these classes are trail pleasure divison- notice Lion King? TWH breeders have bred horses needing "fix", chains, heavy shoes, blocking on and on. Pacey midgets. trying to bred some real natural animation will take a few years. .we have made some progress. Way to go we have usda and public scorn to content with thanks to your group. we dont like to abuse horses for 2 dollar ribbons. period

  • These are nothing more than a good trail horses. It maybe a show, but where are the spectators, the fans. Empty stands tell the story.

This orginization was formed for those who could not compete. Dividing the breed, way to go!

  • What a wonderful change! As an owner of a TWH that will always be 'natural', it makes me so happy to see this.

  • Two thumbs up for showing naturally!!

  • Glad to see that someone is promoting a NATURALLY beautiful horse instead of the poor creatures with blocks and the looks of hip displacia!

  • Thank goodness someone sees the light! There's more to life than padded shoes!

  • I'm so glad to see this. I feel so very sorry for those horses they pad and sore and all that other garbage.
