At 57 years old and weighing in at over 500 pounds, Andy, an Aldabra giant tortoise, is still an adolescent in tortoise years. Giant tortoises can live well over 150 years old and Andy, one of three giant tortoises recently acquired by the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, could put on another 200 pounds in his lifetime. Along with an introverted 34-year-old Aldabra named Patches, and a voracious 14-year-old Galapagos tortoise named Norman, the new giant tortoises are bringing the turtle back at West Orange's Turtle Back Zoo. Among the visitors to the new arrivals yesterday were Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr., and Essex County Freeholder Patricia Sebold. (Video by Nyier Abdou/The Star-Ledger)
