Alan Jackson wrote this song shortly after the World Trade Center tragedy on 9/11/2001. One of the most poignant songs written about that dreadful event. I put this video together many years after the event, but even so the images of that day are still burned into my memory forever, and I'm sure the same is true for almost everybody.

  • @SuperJanh96 Where were you? when they built the ladder to heaven??

  • @MohawkBass That's such a moronic statement. And the fact that 16 people actually gave you a thumbs up is even worse. The only reason this guy has a pot to piss in is because of this song, and it's not good at all, but he was just smart enough to know that all he had to do is write a 9/11 song and people will love it, even if it's not catchy or anything like that. What SP said is true, he just cashes in on people's emotions. I don't really think he is that talented. And I am a true American.

  • @MohawkBass I agree. I remember where I was and what I was doing when this happened.

  • @renesmee23cullen I agree. Often we blame the Muslem people for the atrocities like what happened on 9/11. But there are just as many victims of violence as there are perpetrators of violence.

  • @Seattlecarnut I agree but no one knew, I just wish their was someone to stick up for her through the ten years. And since in their culture the man takes control of the house hold she was very emotional when she got her divers licenses and i was proud for her.

  • @renesmee23cullen That's awful! Just because she's Muslim and/or Middle Eastern, doesn't make one responsible for the 9/11 attack. She's just as much a victim as everyone else on that tragic day.

  • Beautiful song! Wonderful tribute. I remember where I was when this took place. I was at home getting ready for work. I turned on the news (CNN I believe) and saw one of the WTC towers with a gaping hole in it. I remember thinking "Oh shit! Is that what I think it is?"
