  • @keng612 Police and Fire departments are just two examples of socialism. If you want to privatize them, then you better hope you are insured for fire damage when your house catches on fire. You don't have fire insurance? Well then, sorry, your home is just going to keep burning.

  • And then they fucked each other and decided to bailout the banks...

  • @HowardVAgnew HA!!! XD Clearly an argument the elite minority would use! It's been awesome debating with you but I have go elsewhere. Ciao! :)

  • @DaSticksanStonesClub Tsk, tsk, you would try to take back some of the power concentrated in the elite minority of political parties and corporations? For shame, you clearly are a communist. ;)

  • @HowardVAgnew I have hope that with enough truthbearers speaking out a majority will come together and vote out all of the representatives doing wrong to the country. But it's true, it's a small hope. Unless something drastic happens like the supposed end of the world in 2012 (who knows XD that just might be what will happen as crazy as it sounds,) there's a high possibility that there will simply be another fall of rome. The dark ages renewed in the 21st century.

  • @DaSticksanStonesClub Hate to say it, but only terrible disasters like Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and Katrina do we see the country pull together. :/ Well, maybe not 100% ... Apollo program seemed to inspire the country through something productive. That's one of the very few things Dubya and the only thing Newt has supported that I agree with in principle: we need to invest more in space research and exploration.

  • @DaSticksanStonesClub I'm the reverse. The Repubs are far worse, but dems aren't innocent, to the point I could not vote for Barack in '08 and won't in '12 (unless he reverses his faith-based initiative support and Biden reverses his on gay marriage). I support Ron Paul about 1/4, Barack about 3/4 but that last 1/4 is too big to vote for him. Nader is probably 97/100 for me. Mitt, Rick, Newt less than 1/10. I hate both DNC and GOP for forcing two-party restrictions on everyone.

  • @HowardVAgnew I unfortunately don't compete in debates on a forum, mostly because I don't usually have the time. And it's true, there are crazies everywhere on youtube. It's refreshing to debate with someone with morals and political neutrality. I just hope that the countryy can pull itself together and soon. Because if we don't who knows what's in our future.

  • @HowardVAgnew I only pointed out my political position so as to show that I'm not biased towards on group or another. I wasn't trying to make this personal. I just hope that we can get someone with a brain in office before the economy completely dies. My original comment that started this whole thing was an attempt to show that although they say they're completely different in political view their actions are exactly the same even if democats are a little worse. (I know what's up the the space)

  • @DaSticksanStonesClub YT comments are so limited ... do you happen to participate in a discussion forum somewhere that allows for more than 500 character replies? heh. You seem keen, intelligent, engaging and respectful, which I find a rare gem and would like to debate you a bit more than is possible in YT comments.

  • @DaSticksanStonesClub I guess its time to drop a personal shockbomb: I am not a Democrat nor a Republican either, but a liberal independent. I could not and did not vote for Obama in 2008, and cannot and will not vote for him in 2012. I voted for Nader in 2008, and will probably write his name in if he's not on the official ballot in 2012. Its greedy to take so much that it causes harms others. In economics, its called negative externalities. (out of space dammit)

  • @HowardVAgnew (continued) That way all businesses will have the same opportunity to grow and if the big ones are successful, good for them. And about the greed from other businesses, is it greedy to want to be successful? And I'm not a big fan of big oil companies, but did you know that nearly a third of their profits go straight to taxes? I know that if that third wasn't going to the government, they wouldn't need to have their prices so high just to keep afloat.
