Gijs records one of the very first undisguised BMW M5 F10's at Nürburg, Germany. I already recorded this M5 a month ago, but was in doubt for a long time whether I had to upload it or not. Eventually I've decided to upload it, since there aren't many video's around from this car yet and it's a fully undisguised one which is still quite rare! The driver didn't seem to happy with me filming the car so he deliberately pulled away very slow, so I'm sorry the video lacks a decent sound-scene. The driver showed up pretty shortly after I saw this car, so I had only the opportunity to make a couple of shots, but I hope you like it anyways! Thanks for watching!   • @Mattvvvv so why fight my friend ;) Ya BMW doesn't let you rev high if the engine is cold. There is a electronic limiter starting at 6500 RPM (in the E60) and slowly moving to the 8250 RPM when it's hot. But this happens within a couple of minutes.

    The car was probably not at optimum but I do not think it was that cold because he must have drivin there and it takes at least 2 or 3 hours to cool it down in those temperatures. Plus it's a press car and honestly, well, it's just a press car ;)

    Look at my videos, I do think that I own or have owned my fair share part of fast cars.

    So when you say it doesn't let you rev beyond a certain amount of RPM you do admit that BMW forbids you to rev higher when the engine is cold.. Why would they do that?

    So, it's obvious that the car is still running with a cold engine.

    I agree that his acceleration is pathetic, but than again, you don't know why. So calling him stupid is imho equally stupid.

  • @Mattvvvv the point is that u do not understand it. I know how high performance cars function because I own two myself u idiot. And I also happend to have owned an E60 M5 and it automatically doesn't let you rev over a certain RPM as the engine gets warmer. It still lets you rev to 6500 RPM at least and during break in you are allowed to 5000 to 5500 RPM however this car is a press car and is already broken in u smarty. Nobody asked him to accelerate full anyways... just not like a 70 year old.
