This is so sad, I'm actually crying....

2. The car doors weren't locked. When Mr. Neville was distracted by Molly and her mother, Daisy and Gracie could have escaped.
The flaw here was just that Mr. Neville was on his own. The scene would be perfect if there were one or more men assisting the abduction.

Acting is undeniably great and very realistic, especially the actors of Molly, the mother and Mr. Neville.
But there are some loopholes to this scene.
1. Mr. Neville was by himself. So no one else was cornering the mother and her children's backs. They could have gotten away by turning into another direction and ran.

You would be better served to read the Royal Commission into the events at Forrest River Mission.
Mothers do not give up their children willingly and passively,
neither do children leave their mothers without any reluctance.
The whole episode of white oppression on Australia's indigenous population shames us all.
Until we acknowledge and actively redress this shame, Australia will never achieve what she could.

O..kay disregarding all comments on this so far...I'm White Australian....I do not want to cause a debate...but Rabbit Proof Fence is one of THE most favourite movies....highly recommend ALL actors and so forth...and the behind the scenes takes....it is part of a foreboding history us WHITES should endure....love everything about it...about to buy the movie...it's just as Australian as Wolf Creek.
