On the 2nd day of my seaplane training my instructor decided that i was good enough to pass my checkride. so decided to give me a little treat... so on the way to our destination we followed a river down low between the trees, it felt very much like an X-wing flying down a canyon on the death star... that was fun, then it was time for the treat, my instructor was an ex-navy pilot (topgun grad) so he had taken me to have a look at a navy bombing range in the middle of Florida, it was awesome, but things only got better when we received notice that some F-18's were inbound for some bombing runs, so we landed (watered,lol) on a lake about 2 miles away and had our own private airshow...
To top it all off i passed my FAA checkride later that day which would be my last flight in the US... what a day...
