If your wife/husband dies you will get everything that is entitled to you under the marriage licence, if you are a gay partner you don't. If your wife/husband dies and they had an adopted child or biological child with another person, you get full custody as you were the other parenting figure thanks to marriage - if you are gay, the child gets put back into foster care or given to the immediate family that might or might not approve of you. The list goes on and on.

Even if humanity comes to its collective senses and reduces its population, some procreation will always be required. That addresses your question about quantity.

But QUALITY is also important, and marriage promotes the family form that is best for raising children — two biological parents.

Overpopulation and pollution are essentially caused by trying to ignore natural limits. In my view, the idea of homosexual marriage is also based upon trying to ignore natural limits — gender limits.

We have seven billion people on earth. Overpopulation and pollution are both serious concerns. Are you really sure that MORE children is a benefit to society?

I am a seventeen-year old, gay teen in North Carolina and I'm so proud that these campaign is happening. The old time Southern-traditional, gospel music was a nice and beautiful ironic touch, though. I have to admit.

I never thought about the people who work at city hall who can't let gay people get married. They must feel awful about it. I'd cry if I had to do that.
