  • Microsoft Flight Simulator don't support multi core CPU. It uses only one of the many cores, so to get the most frames you need to pump up the clock speed. I recommend 6 GHz.

  • @wii2050 Thanks for your comment. As you can see this vid is a few years old. I have since mad a few modifications to my rig and have overclocked to 4.1GHz. Runs like a champ now.

  • you spent an extra $115 on shipping, truly retarded

  • @xCmOn3yx777 Well considering I was getting ready to deploy at the time and need the the parts to arrive before we left so I would have my rig with me in Iraq, $115 was well spent.

  • wow when is everybody going to get off of the 250 thing. YES the 250 is not the greatest card but for the job it is doing it is just fine. I was focusing on a simple build and you know what? i got what i wanted. i get high fps with almost all sliders on max with a ton of addons. and as far as the msi board, maybe you just had a bad board. no issues with my build at all. as far as ati, i am not a big fan of there stuff.

  • recommend the ATI 5770 5850 5870 I have 5770 and i get with max setting 35-92fps always/ cpu AMD965/ 3.4ghz 6G RAM motherboard GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-UD4H

  • Also great video and all but it really does not show much. I have a lot of eye candy add ons and my scenery looks awsome.

  • My friend gets 160 fps at max settings!

  • I even tried ati twice and returned each within a couple days because they were crap and never worked right. What trooper stated that this was for fsx, as long as your not gaming with gpu intensive games, trooper your card is fine. ;-)

  • Awsome build. I don't know why people are making a big deal out of your gpu. FSX runs off of CPU. I just got a GTX 460, which made no difference in fps with my old processor. I just got the AMD X4 965, which is the key to better fps in fsx. As far as that comment "why get an amd with nvida?" was a weird question. Not like the processor knows what gpu your using. And the rumor that amd works better with ati is false.

  • I get 100 fps + with AMD 965, GTX260 on a Crosshair II mobo. It is either the mobo or the SSD hard drives that is making it good, I think both personally. Gotta keep an eye on those bus speeds especially the PCI bus. Make sure you have a PCI-E 2.0 spec mobo otherwise your new spanky GPU cards are just running in squeeze mode

  • Nice build, mine is somewhat similar,

CPU: intel i7-920 3.6 ghz (something like that)

    Video: Geforce 9800 Gt

Motherboard: MSI X58 pro gaming series

    PSU: Antec 750 Watt

    Case: Auzentech Bulldozer

The case is a bit tight but I could work around it.
