The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin's Northwoods is one of the top ten most heavily-logged national forests. At the cutting rate employed over the last 10 years, every single log-able acre would be cut in 45 years.

  • Kbrubaker have you even been to the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest? It is so thick, you can hardly see through it let alone try and walk through it! The fires we had this year showed we have a fuels problem. Why don't you take a good walk somewhere throught the Forest, and don't just go to the spot where they have harvested some trees!
