This is the first print off of the The Quantum ORD Bot 3D printer. This is an Open Source 3D printer that can be built as shown for less than $500 USD. This was shot in Chicago at Pumping Station One a hackerspace in Chicago at the monthly DIY CNC night.

The part it is building is the 20cm x 20cm calibration cube. We had to abandon the first attempt due to an error in the Y axis which was quickly determined to be a loose set screw on the drive pulley. After that we printed this beautiful part. It prints extremely quiet. The printer noise you hear in the background is actually a different 3D printer.
