@projectbrownman Do you REALLY believe he is dismantling state education. This is just socialist clap trap. What is divisive - is that rich kids go to public schools and kids from poor / tough backgrounds get the political experiment that has been state schools. What Michael Gove is saying in effect is : if it is good enough for rich kids, why not for kids from disadvantaged backgrounds. Instead of dragging public schools down (Labour's way - except when it comes to where they send THEIR kids)..

What he says is fair and true - all children should be extended to strive for excellence and standards should be high, so WHY OH WHY IS HIS ADMINISTRATION DISMANTLING STATE EDUCATION? The privatisation of education is divisive and ultimately promotes inequality. If he meant all that stuff about better opportunities for all, he'd be striving for local good schools in all areas as opposed to encouraging socio-economic/ class segregation.
