this is a video showing the famous pedal built by electro harmonix... I started with a slow minor blues with the gain knob at about 11 o' clock and then turned it to 12 o' clock to play some ZEPPELIN as usual...

  • @okamasphere it depends on what you want to do! I wold catalogue the muff'n as a preamp... because it has the ability to be also clean if you want... by the way I'd use it as a distortion pedal because of its rich harmonics when you set the gain halfway. you may get too much compression if you set the gain too high. you can also get fuzzy tones with it, but there are pedals that do the same with less effort.

  • ey man, so would you consider the english muff'n an "overdrive" pedal? Or somewhere in the middle of dist and od. Or maybe even fuzz?

  • @wseeback the bass was at 9 o'clock... it's the mic picking the frequences he likes... I'm trying to find a more faithful recording system :-)

  • Turn that bass down
