Capitalism looks very different from country to country. In this video, Robert Litan discusses four major types of capitalism - oligarchic capitalism, state-guided capitalism, big-firm capitalism, and entrepreneurial capitalism. Together with William Baumol and Carl Schramm, in 2007 Litan co-authored Good Capitalism, Bad Capitalism and the Economics of Growth and Prosperity. CIPE translated the book into Arabic for release in time for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 (November 15-21).

  • OLIGARC CAPITALISM is the one here in my country MEXICO...

  • @2013branth I am talking about a moral system, not an economic system within a moral system.

    Do you believe all interaction should be consensual: Voluntarism?

  • @qwertypoiu4321

    That also works. =)

    In essence, any economic system that rewards who work smart, endorses royalties and private property, causes the least amount of corruption, generates the most innovation, and help provide for those who cannot provide for themselves due to medical reasons, then I am totally for it.

  • @2013branth Capitalism=Voluntary ownership of capital goods.

    Market=Voluntary Exchange.

    Why not just have all interaction voluntary and consensual: Voluntarism?

  • Ah finally, a video that represents my views on capitalism, works best with mixed elements and has a free-market.
