A compilation of some videos I've taken from my school where I teach English in South Korea. Most of the clips come from the last day of the session -sort of a party day - so they're not always this crazy. Includes an explanation of the deadly "ddong chim".

Thinking about teaching? Might help you get a taste of what its like sometimes. Sort of.

Also features some of me and my limited employ of the Korean language.

  • hey. i am actually moving to tongyeong in two weeks to teach english as a foreign language at ILS - any advice???

  • My advice? Buy a scooter. Visit the 8 scenic places. Take a martial art.

    Enjoy it. It's a beautiful place.

  • haha they were awesome... Especially that cool guy with the glasses in the begining

  • Oh, the memories. I was going to say your classroom management left something to be desired, but then I read it was your last days at the school, so I guess it's understandable. Konbae...

  • what hours they go to school there?

  • "Happy day!" AW! So cute!

  • you have really tough day..

  • I subbed at an ILS for a couple of weeks. While the employment conditions will vary between the different locations because it's a franchise, the material you teach at ILS is pretty good. You actually use textbooks with English rather than konglish.

  • Which school is this?

  • Hahahhhahaha... You teach at ECC... I use the same books in Seoul working for ECC... Wake-up! Yay!! More like, "Wake-up, there's not enough words to teach a 40 minute class!" hahaha

    This is a wonderful little tidbit of teaching in Korea... Thanks... Are you still in Korea?

  • I like the kid at 4:27 his voice is very adorable and cute...and funny! this was a good video. I want to become an ESL teacher now!^^;
