My dad had a '51 Chevy with Powerglide over 50 years ago--The dashboard arrangement looks about the same as it did on his car. Brings back memories. Thanks for the ride.
WOW! This brings back old memory's. My dad had a car like this in the early 70s. I felt like I was in kindergarten again. It was killed in 73 when a drunk guy driving a 62 impala pull out in front of me and my mom. We were just banged and scratched up. But both cars were totaled. Thank you for sharing!
When the car makes the turn at 0:19, you can hear the PowerGlide slip for a second - a sign the transmission fluid level is low. When the car made the turn, the centrifugal force sloshed the fluid in the transmissionaway from the intake screen on the front pump of the PowerGlide. Thanks for posting this - a great tribute to the original series PowerGlides!
When she takes that turn at 0:21, you can hear the PowerGlide slip for a second - a sure sign the fluid level is low! The fluid splashes away from the intake screen on the front pump in the transmission. Thanks for posting this - a great memory of the original non-shifting PowerGlides!
