Now the 2009 version of this distro i didn't have a lot of luck with, but now they seem to have seen the light and everything just works (for me anyway).
This is the KDE version but light meaning it comes with next to nothing and you install what you want as you go,and thats a concept that i like..
so if you want a distro that you can just add the programs that you want this is for you and will work off a lighter hardware requirement...

  • HAHA you ... MIGHT want to change the title of the video........ /Just sayin haha

    LOL

  • @MrDemilord I know, I ran it since .93 release. I liked it much better when they used the Mandriva codebase. Ran into so many problems with 2008+ that I dumped it and run a remastered OpenSuse. Ran 2010 against OpenSuse and Suse came out about 30 percent faster.

  • @akirafactor Mandriva... but not totally, they use their own base and compile their own packages...

They use patches from debian , ubuntu and all other distro's.. and its a rolling release..

  • Like your style, but man, you are really difficult to understand. For instance what are you saying between 3:44-3:55? Could you transcribe?

  • Guess what distros this is knock-off of.

  • its pedo bear!

    omg run

    run runrun

  • It does look like windows 7! (:

  • Abiword, Synaptic, Midori ... all GTK apps. KDE uses QT technology and thus those will not work as well the native counterparts (I am not sure if synaptic has one, by there is Koffice and Konqueror). Switching to different apps is definitely a good idea in order to get the best of your environment.

If you use Gnome, XFCE and LXDE, they are all GTK based, so you will hardly notice any difference in mix-and-match of apps.

    Nice review.
