Dén Raven Slave Song

This is a slave song from Book 3 in the Pellinor series, The Crow. It's a very sad song (There is a LOT of sad poetry in these books, but ALL of it is brilliant). I used a drum beat to signify the drum beat slaves were often made to work to. Also the tambourine references the chains mentioned in stanza 3. Lyrics are (c) the lovely Alison Croggon and music is (c) me.

The magic of this beautiful, heavenly voice! We may not be bards, but we may still have the singing, and learn the little Speech we can from the books. May I sing this song in class under my breath? The teacher will probably find it very amusing as I sing it during maths.

@RavenSLave1 I did make this song up. The words are poetry from Alison Croggon's work...the name Den Raven, or my Youtube name? If you haven't read the Pellinor Trilogy Alison wrote, you should...it's amazing!
