  • is this performance available on DVD?

  • wonderful song

  • She nailed Liza...wow.

  • If you all watch interviews, peter was deffinatly in love with liza and then he realised Their was a different comnection between him and men

  • I belive he loved her for her gifts yes but not love as in partner love.. It could not have been easy to leave her but he had to do it for him self.. I am lesbian and this whole played touched me in so many ways in fact it helped one of my friends come out and this year at my courch on pride we are going play Love Dont Need A Reason it was my idea ..

  • @cqsallie

Actually, she would not have been better off staying with Peter. She knew Peter was gay. That is the whole point of the song.

  • I like how she isn't making Liza into a over done character, but taking a hint of Liza and making it her own. Brilliant. I got to see a show, I don't want to see the perfect impersonation.

  • Well, I'm thinking she captured the essence of 'Liza' without doing a caricature. Maybe that's a better word.

  • But playing liza is the point of playing the character. It shouldn't appear in one number to disappear in another or be existing in her regular speech and gone when she sings. She's supposed to be embodying the role of Liza Minnelli. You may call that an impersonation, I call it doing the task the part calls for.
