Streets of Rage II -- Stage 1: Normal, 2 player.

Me and my brother -- as Axel and Blaze respectively -- playing through the first stage of Sega's Streets of Rage II on the Sega Megadrive (aka Genesis). My brother hadn't played this game in years, but still doesn't have much trouble doing the rounds (and hitting me lol).

Mr. X has come back from the dead with a new gang of thugs and kidnaps Adam to lure Axel and Blaze onto the street once more. Joining the two vigilantes this time around are Axel's friend Max (a wrestler) and Adam's kid brother Stake.

The sprites here are larger and more detailed than in the previous game, also our heroes and heroine now have special moves at their disposal, these new moves replace the 'police backup' from the original game. Use of the moves activated with the A button cost a little energy each time (standing A only costs energy when it connects), a la Final Fight.

Eight stages and a army of criminal thugs and hired specialists stand between you, Mr. X's headquarters and saving Adam.

Go hit those raging streets once more.

Of course in Japan this series was called Bare Knuckle.

I've tried re-uploading this video because the sound was off-synch, something which the original file wasn't, seems to happen to my game uploads when their any length (well PAL one's anyway). After trying to re-convert and upload this video again - twice - I have given up and I hope that you - the viewer - still enjoy watching it regardless.

yo this gane was classic i was so young when i played it i didnt know the name!

i was also looking for another one with a racoon or somthing in armor and he had a jetpack or somthing and you fight pigs anyone know it?
