There are still so many more Oldies I like to listen to like The Byrds, Bill Haley, The Beach Boys, The Supremes, Percy Sledge, Barry White, Elvis Presley, Paul Anka, Lesley Gore, Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, Otis Redding, The Platters, Everly Brothers, The White Satins, Thurston Harris, The Monkees and so on.

That was still handmade music. Music without the sound of a computer system. It was music with instruments.

I also think one could see a difference in the photos of the old artists and the new ones. The newer artists seem as if their look is the most important thing for them. The older artists seem to be more interested in the music. That's just what I see when I look at the photos.

  • Snoop used to make good music in the 90s, but he's sold out like Usher and the rest of them.

  • dude, there's no comparison between Rihanna and Aretha. it's like comparing a go-kart with a Rolls Royce.

  • just to add, there are people out there who can sing in tune and handle an instrument to a degree, but very, very few really play from their heart. it's more about competence than feeling.
