Give it a light ''scuff'' using wet/dry papaer, then hit it with Plastic paint primer, sand back with wet/dry till glass-smooth....aply paint....

Hey iam going to paint my gas tank on my cr500, how do you paint plastic tho? just sand paper it or what? I got no idea

We did the body work just like on a car. We also did tons of research on the web and bought books and practiced before attempting this paint job.
I highly recommend taking the time to learn how the pros do it, as we did. We did four months of research and prep before doing this. It also helps that Mike has a magic touch when it comes to anything with a motor. He also LOVES to do this kind of stuff. And he's somewhat of a perfectionist.
