However, some things in the Bible do need to be believed by faith, but faith in not demanded it's earned. Just like faith in anything is earned.

Why should we believe anything?
I believe the Bible because I have experienced God, and what I read in the Bible is confirmed to me by his Spirit. But aside from that:
The Bible was penned by many different men from many different contexts. Some wrote down things that they witnessed, others wrote down things that God said to them directly, these things were confirmed a number of different ways. Either by the testimonies of others or, in the case of prophesy, they were 100% accurate.
