Here are 2 or 3 things you can do once you learn to set your aperture, shutter speed, and ISO on your camera. Also, learn to read your light meter. This is not hard.....you just need to do it! Once you learn to adjust these settings, you will become a better photographer.

  • @TylertheGeek28 Hey Tyler. I'm still here. It's been too long since I did a video. Have a good one.

  • hi, whats the best mode for a portrait shot when i want to focus on the eyes and have the subject in one third of the frame and then recompose for the rest of the shot? i believe it's something to do with the af modes etc, please advise

  • @atyl1972 I would use AV mode and "one shot" focusing to do that. Hope that helps.

  • I just had a light bulb moment! LOL Great video! What would lens would you recommend for taking picture's of arrowheads? I was thinking about the 100mm.

  • @kingsjewels Oh yea, the 100mm macro would be great for arrowheads! If fact, I have one here somewhere I may try that. Thanks

  • Trying to learn manual mode, took 1 class. I have a nikon d7000, outside I don't have this problem, but inside I am having trouble getting my meter to zero. I keep raising my ISO to 4000 & higher, but still have trouble getting meter to zero. Also I understand that the higher the ISO, the more noise. Is there a special setting I should use on the SS and Aperture to get it to meter to zero; have tried numerous settings without any luck. Thanks.

  • WELL DONE!!!!!!!*

  • @nate42nd Oh great because that is the lens I wanted to buy. My husband wants me to take pictures of his arrowheads (he makes them) but the kit lens is just not cutting it. I will be taking close up shots of groups of arrowheads. I would love to see the results you got!
