The Alrighters are not your typical band. There are no guitars, and an unusually large percentage of their songs are about food. Described by singer Andrew Galante as a 50s R&B meets punk band, the Alrighters feature saxophonist Kim Kendricken, upright bassist Zeke Wheeler, and drummer Matt Schlaikjer.
When the lights go down and the sun rises, Galante, a senior production assistant at BUs Creative Services, reverts from bombastic, dancing front man to a more subdued person working on bulletins in a cubicle. Its a great combo for me, he says. I can have a hobby and a job at the same time.
