This guy start a great move of the false spirit, and apostate church. The problem is most of these followers go outside of the Bible for information, there are no new revelations, all that is written is it, so quit making stuff up .
@dallaskenn I don't think that it was JUST Lonnie that made Chuck stay in the ministry... I think it was the move of the Spirit first & foremost... not anyone ONE specific person. This is not about the move of man.. but of the Spirit. That is what a revival is... but you all know that. :-)
@MissRaquelVictoria My point exactly!!! the whole movement was of the Spirit... not Lonnie...not Chuck.. not ANYONE but GOD through HIS SPIRIT!!!! Junior has it all wrong.... he is focusing more on man than upon the Lord!
@irgunlehistern Well if it wasn't Lonnie God would of used somebody else, but by using people like Lonnie it shows outsiders who don't fit in a cookie cutter world that they are also welcome. Lots of churches think they do a good job of that but if you take a poll and ask outsiders, well lots of them feel otherwise. I like Lonnie, God usually uses the unexpected. Calvary may have grown with or without Lonnie but never without God and the thing is that God was working through Lonnie
I just watched "the life and death of a hippie preacher" and I was very touched. I've grown up hearing about the jesus people movement, but had no idea how much the Lord used Lonnie. What a precious man. My heart goes out to him.

@irgunlehistern I don't agree. I think Chuck Smith Jr. was correct. No Lonnie Frisbee, No flourishing of the Calvary ministry.

@irgunlehistern Chuck Smith Sr. was considering leaving the ministry before Lonnie Frisbee appeared.

Lonnie was a tool used by God, If Lonnie wasn't there the movement still would've been growing.....God is not limited in His ways and mind
