@ReginaInTexas Now you have the secret don't you?!!..lol Just watch "joe" & it could save you alot of dough! I'm glad to hear you did it yourself & saved big time. You have to realize that if you had called a plumber, next time you would "still" have to call a plumber....now you don't. Add that to your savings for the next 50 years!! Not only that, it has now given you the determination to tackle the next repair/project on your own. Give yoursef a gold star! Thanks for your comments. Joe :0

@infringinator You got one fixed.....great! What type of assembly does the other toilet have? Can you describe it for me? Joe :0

@VideoJoeKnows one toilet didnt need any fixing..this toilet has a large assemply on the left with no wire connected like yours. it has the fill tube and then there are some ball chain links connecting to the drain plug its american standard please help joe! lol...the top of the thing is all rusty and the rubber ball connects to it by a plastic arm...there are screws on top maybe they adjust it? Might just need a whole new aseembly. Would I have to drain the tank to remove the fill assembly?

@infringinator I would recommend replacing the entire fill valve unit & replace with the one you see in this video. They cost under $10. You would need to remove the water in the tank, yes. turn the water off at wall, flush the toilet then remove the remaing water with a sponge. I have some other videos that talk about toilet issues with water fill valves. Look for them......lol Joe :0

@VideoJoeKnows okay I think it might be time to upgrade! I've taken the tank off before its just a pain lol...but I think its just a plastic bolt holding this down so it shouldnt be as bad. I'll let you know how it went. The toilet would run on occasion do you think this will fix that issue also?

@infringinator The toilet running on occasion, could be from the old water fill valve but it could also mean that your flapper needs to be replaced. I have a video that explains how to decide if a flapper needs to be replaced...as well as how to adjust a flapper for the right amount of water-flush....you mean the flapper has an adjustment on it too?...of course!....lol Joe :0
