The long lost airplane food scene. It was no where to be found on the original release of the DVD. Sometimes included when the movie is aired on TV. Might be my favorite scene. It is now available along with 3 other great SPECIAL FEATURES on the NEW DVD release of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (Those Aren't Pillows Edition).

you know that there is a lot of deleted footage from this film.. it's all stored away in some big wearhouse.. Just imagine what comedy from this film remains hidden.

I like how at 2:56 there are no music cues or anything, it's just played completely straight. Fantastic.

@RickAintStoned Let's hope the footage is still in good condition . I recall reading somewhere that John Candy thought about making a longer version but he thought the original unused footage was probably degraded beyond use by now .

Thanks for posting this. I always watch this film on Thanksgiving but unable to this year so I looked here to see if someone might have uploaded the film or at least clips from it. I own the older DVD and have never seen this from the movie! Now I'll have to buy the newer version-didn't know there was one out. Thanks again!
