Considered as the gateway to Bicolandia, Daet is 350 kilometres from Manila and can be reached seven to eight hours by land travel. It is the commercial and government center of Camarines Norte.

Daet has a rich cultural heritage, relevant historical landmarks and vast tourism potential. Home of the First Jose Rizal Monument in the world, it holds the distinction of being a character town in the entire Bicol region It is is famous for the sweetest pineapple in the world -- the Queen Pineapple.

A beach stretch in Barangay Bagasbas is one of the growing popular sites among surfers. Considered as the 61st surfing destination in the world, it is perfect venue for water sports like surfing, kite surfing and skimboarding. Its fine beach complements with the beautiful sunrise in the morning is an ideal sight for relaxation for all ages.
