  • How do you clean the raw fleeces? I am allergic to the hay etc.. thank you, grace

  • I know that in France that they used to wash them in the rivers but it caused too much pollution so they started to send them to China. Probably if you washed them in a tub it would work well.

    as ever

  • It might help some of the viewers if you use some of the newer editing features to put in some close-captioning text, of what Kay is saying.

I've seen a video of a French woman who does just that. The natural hair colors are wonderful. If you learn to spin sheep whool, then dog wool is the same process I would think.

There's a French woman who makes yarn from dog hair. Dog owners collect their pet's hair and bring it to her. She has knit all kinds of sweaters, vests etc. Try keywords "laine de chien" on YT. I hope it works.

  • try listening to the vid with headphones if you can not hear it. the speakers on some computers are not loud enough.

  • Would be excellent, but no sound !!!!! All controls turned to max can *just* hear something.

  • Omigod...I could feel my blood pressure drop just watching that video

  • Nice charming overview of various aspects of spinning by hand, but I wouldn't card wool unless it is REALLY clean of any Vegetative Matter- free. Unless you want dirty, sticky and vegetable matter laden cards! YMMV

  • Wonderful! Thank you!

  • This is a beautiful work of art! Well done! I wonder if anyone would be so kind to answer some questions I have. A few months ago I rescued an abandoned dog near a rubbish depo. She had been very mistreated but now she's better (you could check her youtube-video under my name). She's a serious condition which eventually might let her totally/partially unable to walk unless she undergoes a very expensive surgery. My idea is to sell her fur as yarns in order to raise money to pay for her surgery.
