This timeless and rare video is Cabaret from the 1968 Show and Album "The Beat of the Brass". Enjoy.

P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

  • Wow! I remember seeing this back in '68. Never thought I'd get to see it again. Anyone know if the entire show is available on DVD?

  • belissima musica instrumental

  • Thanks for posting this. May have seen this video, but don't remember for sure. One of our local T.V. stations used this version of "Cabaret" in some of their locally produced commercials in the late 60's and early 70's. My favorite rendering of this song !

  • Vegas! Awesome! Love this song!

  • from 1962-mid 1966, the tjb was in fact a studio band. drums: hal blaine, bass: carol kaye, marimba: julius wechter. herb alpert of course, bud colman on guitar as well as john pisano and it goes on. the trveling tjb was: the late nick ceroli ,drums bob edmonson on trombone , toni kalash on 2nd trumpet, pat senatory on bass, lou pagani on piano.. to sum it all up...it was the best sound that AM radio and phonograph records could give it's listeners..

  • Nevrmond, watched the whole thing and the cities are changing...DUH. Always wanted to se clips from this show.

  • I am glad you posted this. One thing I noticed is Herb and the TJB are in Time Square in NYC and at 1.29 they are on State Street in Chicago, notice The Chicago Theatre in the background.

  • Herb arranged everything.
