Guess it's just his favorite character. Personally I'm not so good with Dedede, but he's a pretty fun character nonetheless.

5:23 if you're tricky you can actually make it all the way around the stage.

And yeah nobody really wanted to use the Dragoon so it was a good idea to just get rid of it so we wouldn't have to keep seeing the pieces flying around constantly.
