PROTEIN POWDER -- WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE IT?
Every single cell, tissue, muscle and bone contains protein.
Known as the building blocks of the body, proteins play a significant role in repairing the loss that occurs due to wear and tear
Protein is essential for providing bone and muscle strength endurance and immunity

Severe depletion of protein can lead to
• Loss of muscle mass causing physical weakness.

  • What is the protein that make you gain weight?

  • @mastro14720 That is Weight Gainer

  • ...morning, after workout and when i go to sleep...so i need to drink a shake 3 times a day?

  • @21iunie - - Thanks for following. The goal is to eat protein sources at every meal. If you are training hard, then you want to ensure that your muscles are growing; body is recovering and recuperating efficiently. I suggest that after your workout , if you cannot eat a meal with carbs, proteins right away, then you have an after workout meal/shake (check out my Prograde vid post) and before you sleep is great, as it’s the optimal time that your body rests and your muscles grow

  • @marcroops check out the meal plan Exercise Day: Breakfast: protein/carbs, Mid-morning: protein/healthy fat, Lunch: protein/healthy fat, Mid-afternoon: protein/healthy fat, Evening (after exercise): protein/carbs, Pre-bed: protein/healthy fat

  • im not trying to be a dick, but ¨take¨ protein?, dont you take drugs n stuff, i would prefer saying use:)

  • @TheGladProductions Hmmm. Don't you "USE" Drugs...some even “use and abuse”.

As long as you understand the gest of what is set, you can say use, I'll say take and hopefully the message is clear. I would not have even thought about the word "TAKE" and drugs had such a close bond. Everyone is different; I actually used the word "take" and wrote "use" to capture both audiences.

Cheers and have an awesome day - thanks for the comment – Funk

  • Excellent information Funk. Among all your other comments, telling us the best sources of protein is from natural foods makes a lot of sense. This is the first time I've ever heard of taking a protein supplement before sleep; that's something for me to think about. According to the RDA guideline, I need 50g of protein a day. Being active, I know I need more than that, but I'm working on figuring out just how much more.

Great to see that high amount fruit in the video -- plenty of antioxidants.

  • @lukeylad121 u should only be working out maybe 2-4 times a week, you are doing too much.

  • Is it also important to take protein shakes on days when you're NOT doing workouts??

  • spirulina and blue-green algae have the highest source of protein that i know of. higher than meat and the whey protein, which is a by product of cheese making, per calorie.

  • @mastro14720 whey protein comes from a byproduct of making cheese. it makes you gassy, jut thought u might want to know. try protein from algae or spirulina.

  • Thanks for your tip about this protein....I never tried it before just received my order today...bought the chocolate & chocolate mint flavor... it taste amazing...great product! and proudly canadian made!
