my first time on bass flute

well this isn't mine as per usual my flutee choirr person borroowed one from a friend of a friend of a friend and she brought it in for us to have a look at, this is the first time i've ever touched one so thats why its not great :P x

getting the low notes out when you first play a bass flute is difficult. remember to use lots of air, but with a very relaxed embouchure.(sp?) It's quite a bit different than if you were piccolo or soprano flute for that matter.

yes , there are many types of flute

piccolo - One octave higher than your average concert flute

Concert Flute

Alto Flute - In the key of G and lower

Bass flute - One octave lower Than concert

Contrabass flute - Two octaves lower than concert

Sub Contrabass flut - Three Octaves lower than concert

Hyperbass flute - not sure how low. Only one in existance. owned by its creator. He has made a cd of it ' Glaciers In extinction. VERY RARE x
